Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad

True to the goals set in 2001, the year of its founding, the Sommets Musicaux features nine consecutive days during which audiences have the opportunity to experience young, up-and-coming artists alongside internationally renowned virtuosos.

Since its founding in 2001, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad has been a musical highlight of the winter season for all classical music lovers. Every year, young talents, orchestras, internationally established artists, and music lovers from Switzerland and abroad come together over nine days to bring the most beautiful works of the classical repertoire to life in a snow-covered dream landscape.
Founded by former artistic director Thierry Scherz and director Ombretta Ravessoud, the festival has been based on three pillars from the very beginning: three concert series are held at three outstanding venues. The afternoon concerts in the Gstaad Chapel are dedicated to promising young talents and a specific instrument each time. In the evenings, concertgoers in the churches of Saanen and Rougemont are captivated by soloists and orchestras of international renown.

Every winter, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad prove to be a popular gathering place for the entire region. The group dinners held after the concerts at the Gstaad Palace or the Café du Cerf in Rougemont provide a unique opportunity for music lovers, artists, and festival partners to come together.
